16 Nov 2005

Car park operator Q-Park is set to open its Liver Street car park on November 21st as part of the prestigious £900 million Liverpool One project. This is a landmark event as it is the completion of the first building of the redevelopment.

The impressive architect-designed five storey, 580-space Q-Park Liver Street car park will provide top quality safe, secure and convenient parking facilities, and will include a bridge connecting directly to the second floor of the planned 240,000 sq ft John Lewis department store. Completion of the John Lewis store is due in 2007.

Q-Park Liver Street opens to the public on the morning of November 21st with an official launch taking place at lunchtime. The NCP Paradise Street car park will close the same day.

In all, Q-Park will provide a total of 3000 new parking spaces for Liverpool One with its second and third car parks opening in 2008 to coincide with the completion of the main Paradise Street Project construction scheme and ready for Liverpool’s year as European Capital of Culture in 2008.
