Q-Park TO OPERATE PARADISE PROJECT CAR PARKING
Leading Dutch car park operator, Q-Park is to manage all 3,000 new car parking spaces at three car parks within Grosvenor’s Paradise Project in Liverpool.
Grosvenor has agreed a 35-year lease for the three car parks, reflecting its belief in Q-Park’s ability to maintain the highest quality car parking facilities and service over the long-term.
Each of the car parks will be built to a distinctive, high quality design developed in collaboration with Q-Park.
The first car park, serving the new John Lewis store, will open in 2005; the second, in Hanover Street, will open in 2007; the third car park, housing 2,000 spaces underneath Chavasse Park will open in 2008 in time for the completion of the project.
Commenting on the deal, Claire Cooper, Grosvenor’s Head of Leasing said: “The three car parks are important gateways into our development and the city centre. Q-Park entered into a competitive bid, and we selected them because we were impressed with their innovative approach, the quality of their operation and the price.”
Nigel Williams, Q-Park’s Head of Acquisitions added: “The new car parks will act as the front doors for this prestigious new development and we are thrilled that Grosvenor has chosen us to provide this important facility. We are delighted to be in partnership with a company that looks to the long-term and puts the highest quality services at the top of its agenda.”
