Underground city base for skyscraper flats sales team

A SUBTERRANEAN basement in Liverpools Castle Street has become a nerve centre for the team selling luxury flats in the citys Grosvenor Paradise Project.

More than 60 of the apartments at One Park West, along Liverpool’s waterfront Strand, have already been sold. Because the development is in the heart of Europe’s biggest retail and leisure building site, a show apartment could not be built.

So Liverpool architects Brock Carmichael have created a taster of what occupants of One Park West can expect in the development of 326 apartments. They have built a marketing suite, including a high-specification “apartment”, stylishly furnished by Liverpool interiors store Utility.

Covering 1000sq ft, it boasts a state-of-the-art kitchen, en-suite bathroom, One Park West model and DVD presentation lounge.

It is in a second-level basement, beneath the offices of King Sturge in Castle Street.

One Park West, the largest residential building in Liverpool One, has been designed by world famous architect Cesar Pelli, the man who designed the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur.

The suite will be used as the marketing and sales base for One Park West, open from Mondays to Saturdays, from 9am until 5.30pm.

The building comprises one, two and three-bedroom high specification apartments with secure car parking and 24 hour concierge service. Rising from three cores, One Park West will climb to 17 storeys from a base of restaurants and offices. One Park West will be the tallest structure in Liverpool One. by Larry Neild, Liverpool Daily Post
